🌕 Full Moon Ritual of Astral Reflection and Manifestation (Hermetic Rite)

Purpose:

To draw down the Lunar Light (Yesod’s reflected Solar Light) into the magician’s sphere, for the purpose of clarity, manifestation, inner vision, or fertilization of a spiritual project.

Preparation:

  • Timing: Night of the Full Moon (or within 12 hours before or after peak fullness).

  • Location: Ideally under the open sky, but near a window facing the Moon is sufficient.

  • Altar:

    • White cloth.

    • Silver chalice filled with water (symbolizing the Moon's reflection).

    • Mirror or polished silver disk (symbol of Yesod).

    • White candle (or silver if available).

    • Incense: Myrrh and Jasmine blend (or Lunar incense).

Opening:

Perform the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram (LBRP)
(to clear and prepare the space in the traditional Hermetic way.)

Then, say aloud:

"I purify this space in the Names of the Holy Powers, that the Waters Above and Below be harmonized. Let the Light of Yesod reflect the Will of the One."

Invocation of the Lunar Power:

Facing the Moon (or mirror if indoors), raise your hands and intone:

**"O Lunar Sophia,
Mirror of the Unseen Light,
Keeper of the Astral Gate,
Reflect into my sphere the purified currents of Chokmah and Binah.

Mother of Mirrors, Queen of the Night Waters,

I call Thee in the Names of Yesod, Gabriel, and Shaddai El Chai.

Draw down Thy Silver Current
That I may see clearly,
That I may dream wisely,
That I may manifest rightly.

Be Thou my Guide upon the Waters of Reflection."_**

Main Working:

1. Gaze into the Chalice of Water or Mirror
Relax the gaze, and imagine the Moon’s light pouring into the water or mirror.
Visualize it spilling outward, entering your crown, filling your aura with silver-white light.

2. Speak your Intention aloud:
("I will that clarity comes upon [subject]." or "I seed into the world the vision of [goal].")

3. Trace the symbol of the Moon (☽) in the air over the chalice or mirror three times, saying:

"By the Light Above and the Waters Below, so mote it be."

Closing:

Thank the Lunar Powers:

"I thank Thee, O Queen of the Silver Night. May Thy blessing reside within my soul, and may Thy reflection be pure within me. Go now in peace, but ever dwell in my secret heart."

Perform the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram (optional but recommended).

Drink a little of the lunar water or sprinkle it lightly on your forehead and hands to "seal" the work.

🌟 Additional Hermetic Notes:

  • Archangel Gabriel presides over the Moon and Yesod in Hermetic Qabalah; invoking Gabriel can also be added.

  • Tarot Correspondence: Use the High Priestess (ATU II) as a visual meditation focus if desired. She is the Lunar gatekeeper between dimensions.

  • Planetary Hours: If you want to time it even more precisely, perform during the Planetary Hour of the Moon (available via online calculators).
