Lust without need of result: Hermetic Ceremony & Invocation by Magus Eli

A Western Hermetic Rite of Solar Ecstasy and Inner Sovereignty

🔹 Purpose:

To invoke the ecstatic sovereignty of Babalon and ride the Solar Beast of Divine Will through the alchemical path of Lust (ATU XI), embracing the shadow, transmuting desire, and entering into sacred union with the Higher Self.

🜏 Ritual Items:

• Thoth Tarot Card XI – Lust

• Red or crimson altar cloth

• Chalice of wine or pomegranate juice

• Candle (gold, red, or flame-orange)

• The Lust Sigil (image provided above)

• Incense: Dragon’s Blood or Frankincense-Myrrh blend

• Mirror or obsidian scrying bowl

🜁 Opening the Temple:

Banishing:
Perform the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram (or your preferred circle casting).

Invocation of Babalon:
Stand facing the altar and speak aloud:

“O Babalon, Scarlet Queen of the Aeon,
You who ridest upon the Lion-Serpent,
Mother of Ecstasy and Cup of Absolution,
Enter this rite through fire and form,
That I may drink the wine of Becoming
And know myself as sovereign flame.”

Light the candle and incense.

🜃 Pathworking Visualization:

1. Enter the Card – Gaze at the Lust card or the sigil image. Visualize yourself stepping into the scene. You are the Rider. You are also the Beast.

2. See the landscape around you—a desert of stars, with a golden sun pulsing in the distance. You ride the Beast of primal force, seven-headed and flame-wreathed, breathing fire with every exhale.

3. Feel the Cup in your hand—it overflows with the Blood of Saints: all your past identities, fears, illusions, masks. Pour it into your mouth. Let the liquid burn, purge, and ignite your inner sun.

4. Speak aloud the formula:

“Within me coils the Lion-Serpent.
I do not tame it—I ride it.
My Will is fire, and I am the flame.
By Lust I ascend the path to the Sun.”

🜄 Sacrament & Mirror Gaze:

• Drink from the chalice, affirming the rite:

“This is the wine of my Becoming.”

• Gaze into the mirror or obsidian bowl. Watch your face shift. See the fire of Tiphareth behind your eyes. What message or face appears?

🜔 Closing the Rite:

Thanks to Babalon:

“Scarlet Flame, I thank you.
Be ever the Cup in my hand,
The Fire beneath me,
The Power within me.
So shall I ride, Sovereign and Solar,
Until the Sun itself is devoured in ecstasy.”

Extinguish candle. Ground with food or breathwork. Close the circle.

🜝 Optional Additions:

• Recite Liber XV sections on Babalon (Thelemic)

• Journal dream impressions or animal totems post-ritual

• Repeat for 11 days as a working toward ego-transcendence and solar emergence
