🌀 Opening

Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram
(Recommended: Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram or your own preferred method)

Invocation of Scorpio:

“O Children of the Scorpion, I descend into the waters of decay to rise beyond the mortal veil.
O Holy Nun, bearer of dissolution, open the gateway of shadows and guide me into the crucible of rebirth.
By the tail that stings, the coils that climb, and the wings that rise—
I pass through the gate of the Scorpion, to be undone, transformed, and exalted.”

🜄 Phase I – The Scorpion (Putrefaction)

Action: Place your right hand into the bowl of saltwater. Gaze upon the bone or skull.

Affirmation (repeat aloud):

“This body is not me. This name is not me. This identity is the shell I now lay upon the altar of dissolution.”

Meditation: Contemplate the parts of your ego, persona, or behaviors that no longer serve your soul’s evolution. Let them rise to the surface of the mind.

Optional: Write each on slips of paper. Burn in black flame (black candle).

(To be integrated into the Scorpio Initiation Rite after Phase I – The Scorpion)

“All transformations begin within the womb of darkness, where fire stirs the deep waters into living form.”
—Book of Nun, Inner Commentary

📜 Setup

Sit in front of the altar or in darkness with only the Death card and a single black or red candle lit. Have the Fish, Serpent, and Eagle symbols nearby (can be physical, imagined, or visualized through the Thoth card).

Take 3 deep breaths in a 4-7-8 rhythm (inhale 4, hold 7, exhale 8) to still the body and prime the inner senses.

🔮 Guided Meditation

🦂 Phase I: The Scorpion – Instinct and Ego Death

Close your eyes and descend inward.
You find yourself crawling along blackened desert sands. Your body is low to the ground—a Scorpion. The world is harsh, defensive, reactive. Every shadow is a threat, every vibration a warning.
You carry your poison in your tail—a lifetime of fear, resentment, and self-defense.

Suddenly, a vast Eye opens in the sky above you. It sees all. You freeze—exposed. Vulnerable.
But instead of striking, the Eye speaks:

“There is nothing left to protect. You must shed this shell to rise.”

Let the scorpion dissolve into dust. Breathe out. Let go.

🐍 Phase II: The Serpent – The Astral Light Awakens

You are now a Serpent, undulating through warm, dark waters. These are the waters of Nun, the womb of transformation.
Around you swirls the electric blue of Astral Light—you see geometric forms dancing, ancient sigils glowing faintly.

You feel the Fire stir within—the Will to Change.
With each breath, you slither upward—rising through layers of luminous water.
As you rise, you shed skin after skin: identities, wounds, names, memories…
Your thoughts spark into images, your images quicken into form.
The serpent wraps around the Vesica Pisces, coiling through your spine, awakening the Seed of the Soul.

Repeat mentally:

“I am the Will that forms the Waters. I spiral Thought into Flesh.”

🦅 Phase III: The Eagle – Solar Ascension

You burst through the surface of the waters—transfigured.
Your body becomes light, and vast wings unfurl from your back.
You are now the Eagle, soaring above the world, radiant with Solar gold.
You see all below you: the Scorpion husk, the Serpent’s spiral, the sacred Vesica from which you emerged.

Above you shines the Sun of Tiphareth, the Solar Self. You fly into its heart.

Repeat mentally:

“I am the Eagle who remembers the Waters.
I am the Eye that sees from Above.
I am Reborn.”

🌞 Completion

Open your eyes slowly. Perform the Qabalistic Cross or touch your heart and speak:

“By the three forms of Scorpio, I have died and risen.
By the waters of Nun, I was reborn.
By the Sun of Tiphareth, I now soar.”

Return to the rite or journaling phase.

🜂 Phase II – The Serpent (Transmutation)

Action: Draw the Hebrew letter Nun in the air or in water with your finger. Take the serpent sigil or image and place it against your heart.

Visualization:

  • A great serpent coils around your spine.

  • With each breath, it awakens, rising through the chakras.

  • As it ascends, the “dead self” crumbles behind it.

  • You become the weaver of new form, threading new consciousness into your being.

Affirmation:

“By the Serpent of Astral Light, I weave new skin around the bones of the eternal.
I transmute fear into freedom, attachment into awareness.”

🕊 Phase III – The Eagle (Ascension)

Action: Take the eagle feather or image and raise it above your head. Now light the red candle.

Visualization:

  • A brilliant eagle bursts forth from your crown chakra.

  • Its wings unfurl across the sky; you become that eagle.

  • Look down from above: the corpse of your old self lies below. Bless it with gratitude and soar on.

Invocation:

“O Solar Eagle, Divine Child of the Sun, I rise beyond the grave of illusion.
My wings are Truth. My heart is Light. I am the luminous Eye that sees without fear.”

🔔 Closing

Final Declaration:

“As I have died, so I now live.
As I descended, so I now ascend.
I am no longer the Scorpion who hides, nor only the Serpent who climbs,
I am the Eagle who flies radiant over the Abyss.
So Mote it Be.”

Perform a Qabalistic Cross or Solar Adoration (Resh)

🔯 Post-Ritual Integration

  • Journaling Prompt: What part of your identity did you bury? What vision was given in its place?

  • Daily Practice for 7 Days: At sunrise, declare “I am the Eagle who remembers the waters.” Meditate briefly on your rebirth.

  • Optional Sigil: Use the Hebrew letter Nun interwoven with a serpent and eagle form to carry the imprint of your transformation.
